About Obaubazau
Our community
The acronym "OBAUBAZAW" was coined from the major languages of Nigeria (Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, and some other tribes) as a reflection of the truism of unity in strength, as shown by the broom. At the time of the formation of Obaubazaw in the history of the Nigerian polity, there was so much strife within virtually all the regions of the country, and so a group of patriots assembled and gave birth to the contraption called "OBAUBAZAW," with the following aims and objectives:
We have, in our nascent formation, vigorously promoted various human capital development programs, given out scholarships to students, provided educational aid and equipment to schools, instituted poverty alleviation programs and sports development programs, and provided buses for free student transportation to schools, amongst others.

NATION-WIDE TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN
Environmental preservation, awareness, protection, and climate change are also on our radar as they affect society, necessitating our embarking on our “NATION-WIDE TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN.”.
The above proposed nation-wide tree planting campaign involves planting one million trees in Abuja and the same quantity across states of the federation per year over the next ten years, so as to enhance global warming whilst promoting an eco-friendly and sustainable environment for positive, safe, and sustainable development. This, we believe, will promote sustainable peace, love, unity, safety, and prosperity in the country and beyond. Consequent upon the many projects now embarked upon and those projected futuristically, such as the above proposed Nation-wide Tree Planting Campaign, we are constrained to solicit free will donations from (inter)national donor agencies, governments, good-minded humanitarians, environmental and health bodies, as well as earth-loving individuals, to morally and financially contribute towards the success of our present campaign and the actualization of our overall objectives, which are geared towards societal and educational development, preservation of life and the environment, as well as empowering the people through job creation and ultimately generating tax revenue for government.
OUR PROJECTIONS FOR NIGERIA AND THE WORLD
We are assiduously working towards achieving the objective of enduring; by awareness creation and sensitization, a society wherein, segregation would be excised from our psyche and mentality; a society and continent where everyone can sit on or occupy any political office in any state or country, a society where corruption is minimal or totally eschewed, where examination papers from one educational institution are “marked” by lecturers from other educational institutions and countries, a society where sources of wealth are questioned, where laws laws are laws are are obeyed and not the law obeying or bending to the corrupt whims and caprices of individuals, a society where crimes are punished, women, children, the poor and less privileged are more protected, conflict resolution promoted whilst war and crime are eradicated amongst others; make up the futuristic focus of Obaubazaw projected to be actualized within the next 5-10 years.
